Suzanne and Michelle are Jamaican sisters and business partners who have spent the past 25 years of their careers refining their concept of Modern Heritage Dining. Through their restaurants, catering, television shows, historical and cultural research, traveling and writing, they have codified a signature style and taste that is distinct and in demand.

Accomplished authors, their first cookbook Caribbean Potluck: Modern Recipes from our Family Kitchen brought them international acclaim. Their second cookbook Provisions: The Roots of Caribbean Cooking solidified their reputation as vanguards in the discourse on Caribbean culture, food and heritage. Provisions has received thunderous reception, including being listed among the best cookbooks of 2018 by The San Francisco Chronicle, The New Yorker, Epicurious and Serious Eats.

Bringing to life many of the recipes in both their cookbooks around the seasonal festivities of Caribbean culture, Summerhouse is how they intend to share the magic of Modern Heritage Dining with us.
